The super energy challenge
This activity asks you to make the right choices to make a house more energy-efficient:
- The weather has got a bit warmer. Do you want to turn up the thermostat to increase the heat, or turn it down?

b. Turn it down - You are making a cup of tea for you and a friend. Do you boil a full kettle, or just enough for two cups?

b. Just enough - It’s the evening now, and the house feels a bit colder. Do you turn up the radiators, or pull on a warmer top?

b. Pull on a top - You’re leaving your room to watch TV with your family. Do you flick off the light in your room, or leave it shining brightly?

b. Let it shine - You have to wash your dirty PE kit in the washing machine. Do you throw it in on its own, or ask if anyone has more dirty clothes to make up a bigger load?

b. Make up a bigger load - It’s a sunny weekend and you want to dry some washing. Do you hang it out on the washing line in the Sun, or put it in the tumble dryer?
