What is the Think Energy Programme?
The Think Energy programme for schools is aimed at encouraging young people (and their parents) in England, Scotland and Wales to be more energy efficient and to be aware of energy issues. The programme includes materials for 7- to 11-year-olds (P3 to P7 in Scotland), 11- to 14-year-olds (S1 to S2 in Scotland), 14- to 16-year-olds (Standard level in Scotland), and 16- to 18-year-olds.
At British Gas, we think it's really important for young people to learn about energy efficiency so that they have the knowledge and tools to protect their future environment. Think Energy teaches them about some of the things they can do to be energy efficient, both in a home or school environment and in the wider world.
Apart from running many schemes and offering grants, British Gas has provided educational resources to schools in the past. This programme continues our ongoing commitment to education and aims to equip children with the knowledge they need to make a difference in their homes and school.

How ‘here to HELP’ could help you.
British Gas is investing up to £150 million over the next four years to benefit homes and communities across Britain. The British Gas ‘here to HELP’ programme has been set up in partnership with 5 major charities* to help make up to 1 million homes warm, safe and comfortable.
‘here to HELP’ offers free insulation, a benefits assessment and other free products and services from our charity partners, depending on individual circumstances.
